1. Where are you from? 
Born and raised in Canton, Ohio

2.In which city do you teach? 
I coach in Canton, Ohio, but my students hail from Canton, Massillon and all of the surrounding areas.

3.How long have you been coaching? 
I have been coaching for about 5 years.

4. What kind of experience do you have?  What is your background in [cheer/karate]? 
I have been involved in some aspect of cheerleading since Jr. High.  Even my grandmother was a cheerleader in Allegheny, PA.  They wore big bloomers and loose fitting long tops.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why? 
I have too many heroes to mention, but I try not to model myself after anyone.  I think everyone needs to be their own person.  It is okay to learn from people, but you should always hold true to yourself and not try to mimic or imitate anyone...unless of course it is Jesus.

6.Do you have a personal quote, motto, code, or philosophy you would like to share? 
My favorite quote:  Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning to dance in the rain!!!

I was a gymnast for 17 years, 3 of which were at level 10, and 4 were as a collegiate athlete. I also coach tumbling here at Ground Level.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?
My parents and coaches are my heroes, they got me where I am today.

6. Do you have a personal quote, motto, code, or philosophy you would like to share?

Well of course, my years of experience with Cheer America, the experience I have
gained from both of my daughters being in cheer america for the last 11 years, and  high school.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?
No one particular.  I admire any woman/man who is responsible, tries hard, who is
honest and up front, and who lives their life to the fullest.  Family and children first.   
And always, always, "Pay It Forward"

Cheered through Middle school and junior, senior year high school.

Findlay, OH.. I just can’t seem to get away! :)

This will be my fourth year coaching for Cheer America.

4. What kind of experience do you have?  What is your background in [cheer/karate]?     
I started cheering in 4 th grade on a midget squad. After that I cheered for 2 years in Middle School. I continued to cheer for both football and basketball all 4 years of high school.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?  
I admire my grandmother for her strength. She is a strong-willed woman who is extremely even-tempered, even in the worst of situations. She is someone who I strive to emulate as I grow older.

6. Do you have a personal quote, motto, code, or philosophy you would like to share?
Bob Marley said it best: “Don’t worry, be happy. ‘Cause every little thing is gonna be alright.”

ANNA DEVAULT

1. Where are you from?
I am from Delaware Ohio .

2. In which city do you teach?
I coach in Grove City

3. How long have you been coaching?
This is my first year coaching.

4. What kind of experience do you have?  What is your background in cheer? 
My experience consist of 4 years of cheerleading; 3 of which were on Varsity.  I was also a member of a hip hop dance team during undergrad.  Through out my years of cheer and dance I facilitated many youth camps and participated in cheer and dance competitions, as well as dancing in the Macy's Day parade.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?
My personal heros are my mom and dad.  They both have always been very supportive of me and my decisions.  They are both very hard working, loving and respectable people.  They set a great example for me to be responsible, kind and strong willed.  I would not be the person that I am today without them and their love and support.  

6. Do you have a personal quote, motto, code, or philosophy you would like to share? 
My favorites quotes are:  "Be the change that you want to see"- Ghandi  and "It's supposed to be hard.  If it were easy everyone would do it."- Tom Hanks in A League of Their Own

I am from Westerville, Ohio.

I am coaching in Groveport, Ohio.

This is my first year coaching with AAYA.

4. What kind of experience do you have?  What is your background in cheer? 
I was a cheerleader for seven years. I cheered at Westerville South High School. We won two state titles and placed fourth in Nationals. I have four years of experience in gymnastics.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?
Role Model: Walt Disney, because he always knew how to remain young at heart.

I am originally from Albany KY and now reside in Hamilton OH.

Hamilton OH

3. How long have you been coaching?  
I have coached for 8 years. I love working with the kids!  It is the greatest award I could ever receive when I see the kids excel and master their goals!!!!

4. What kind of experience do you have?  What is your background in [cheer/karate]?    
I began as a high school cheerleader.  I have always had a love for cheer and dance so I began coaching.  My girls and guys have always found their passion for cheer and that has always been success for me!!!!

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?   
My mother.....and as odd as it may sound, Madonna!  My mother has taught me how to be strong and encouraging, never settle with less than the best.  Madonna, because she never let herself get down.  She has been a success for years and goes with her own style like me. Both live for what they love and my love is cheer!!!

I was a cheerleader in highscool. I coached a while back for a a school. 

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?
My mom is my hero. I admire her for who she is and what she is to me. My best Friend , my hero, my confidant. She taught me there’s more to life than fitting in and I will always carry that with me.

I'm from Houston. Its a small little town with about 600 people and everybody knows you.

I teach in Piqua and Sidney

I have been coaching with AAYA for 1 year

4. What kind of experience do you have?  What is your background in cheer? 
I have been cheering for about 14 years. I cheered throughout high school and was captain my sophmore junior and senior year. I also did an all star team for the UTA Cougars for 8 years.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?
My sister is def. my rold model. Shes the one who got my started in cheerleading and has always supported me no matter what!

Never have regrets!

JODI CHRISTIAN

Jodi Christian

1. Where are you from? 
I am originally from Springfield, Ohio, but I have lived all over the U..S. and Germany due to being an Army brat.

2. In which city do you teach? 
Springfield, OH

3. How long have you been coaching? 
This is my 3rd year with AAYA.

4. What kind of experience do you have?  What is your background in [cheer/karate]? 
I have been a cheerleader since jr. high.  I cheered all thru high school, and was Captain my jr. & sr. year.  Since I went to H.S. in Louisiana we were not "grounded" squads, so I have a lot of hands on stunting experience which has helped me a lot with coaching squads in regards to stunting.  I have a true passion for cheerleading that I like to pass on and share with the young cheerleaders that I coach.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why? 
My personal hero is my grandfather. He had a large part in my life since I was born.  He helped raise me and teach me a lot of things, especially about life.  He passed away over 10 yrs ago, but still to this day I think about and use the things that he taught me daily in everything that I do.  

6.Do you have a personal quote, motto, code, or philosophy you would like to share? 
“Life is what you make it, so make it what you want, you're only as good as you strive to be.”

Dee Freeman

1. Where are you from? 
Manchester, TN.  Currently live in Kettering, OH.

2. In which city do you teach? 
Springfield, OH

3. How long have you been coaching? 
Since Fall 04

4. What kind of experience do you have?  What is your background in [cheer/karate]? 
I cheered for 7 years.  I attended 4 NCA camps, 1 UCA camp and 1 COA camp.  I also competed in 3 national competitions placing 3rd, 10th and 1st respectively.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?  
No person in particular.  But anyone who will fight for what they believe in and never give up.  
6. Do you have a personal quote, motto, code, or philosophy you would like to share?  
“ Don't think Cheerleading is a sport??? Do one of my routines and get back to me on that! ”

AMANDA POE

1.Where are you from?
I grew up in New Lebanon, and now live in Dayton with my husband and 4 beautiful kids!!

2.In which city do you teach? 
I coach in Tipp City

3.How long have you been coaching? 
Ive been coaching for Cheer America for about 4years!!

4.What kind of experience do you have?  What is your background in [cheer/karate]?
I cheered for pee-wee and my school for 10years, and was in tumbling and dance for 15years!

5.Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?
My kids are my hero!! Mariah, Morgan, Carson, and Noah. They encourage me to be a better person and teach me new and exciting things everyday!! I love to wake up to their smiles and go to bed to their giggles!! I never knew I could love someone as much as I love them!!

6.Do you have a personal quote, motto, code, or philosophy you would like to share?
Well my favorite quote comes from the bible:
 "and now these three remain: Faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." 1Corinthians 13:13

LINDSAY WARNER

1. Where are you from?
Originally from fairborn...now in new Lebanon.

2.In which city do you teach? 
Troy

3.How long have you been coaching?
I did a lot of cheer camp in high school for younger ages but outside of school this is my first semester.

4.What kind of experience do you have?  What is your background in [cheer/karate]?  
I cheered from 2nd grade- my senior year for football, basketball (boys and girls) and even wrestling.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?
Honestly, my daughters are my heroes. My oldest daughter has some health problems but you would never know because she always has a smile on her face and cares about everyone before herself. She has taught me to see the best in everyone and to smile no matter what. My youngest daughter has a heart condition and yet she still does everything to the fullest, so from her I have learned that no matter what life brings you, you can still enjoy life!

I teach in Westerville.

This is my first semester coaching.

I have cheered since I was about 5 years old. I cheered for football, basketball, and competition.

5. Who is your personal hero, someone you admire & model yourself after, & why?
My personal hero is my mother. I look up to her because she is a very strong person. Without her, I would not be who I am today. Thanks Mom!

6. Do you have a personal quote, motto, code, or philosophy you would like to share?
