Wu Bin Wushu Federation
The Wu Bin Wushu Federation is cooperative effort to spread Wushu through out the United States. The idea was put together by Wu Bin and Young Champions. The term Wushu means intelligent martial arts. The intelligent here translates to a way of living one’s life. The problem in the past with Americans learning Wushu is time. Wushu forms tend to be very long and the techniques hard to master. Our federation, with the help of WuBin, has come up with an innovative way to teach the basics of Wushu to our members and still keep it fun and exciting.
It is our hope to spread this exciting sport and make it popular across the United States of America. Young Champions has had great success with international cultural relations. We have been traveling to China with our members to train along side WuBin and his world champions. Young Champions also brings these coaches over to the U.S. each summer for our Wushu camps. Young Champions has added Wushu to their curriculum. Look for classes in your area.
It is a fact that the Olympic committee is considering Wushu as a demonstration sport in the 2008 Olympics. The Wu Bin Wushu Federation would like to see this happen. One of the ways to make this happen is having a strong federation. If we can get enough members our voices will be heard. We are looking for national and world champions to represent our group, and someday fulfill our Olympic dreams.
Joining the Wu Bin Wushu Federation is easy and inexpensive. The membership fee is $10.00 a year. You will receive discounts on camps and seminars as well as a 10% discount on all Wushu equipment.
